I’ll outline highlights and specifics I would like for your DTD, but this tutorial infographic is very thorough and a great guide! Please read the whole thing including the “Dos and Don’ts !”

Your DTD is very important, the fit and mobility of your bodysuit can only be as good as your DTD which is why these points are crucial!

I am not responsible for a poor fitting bodysuit due to an inadequate DTD

  • - As uncomfortable as it is, keeping your arms as close to a perfect "T" as possible is crucial for arm mobility in your suit! (See infographic on how to help your arms)

  • - Tape as close/ tight into your armpit as comfortable for you for the stated reasons above.

  • - Please tape down under your heel so I can see your true height (image example is depicted in the 6th step in the infographic!)

  • - Please tape ~1” past your wrist where your hand begins to flair out from your arm (you don’t need to tape your whole palm, I’m only looking to see where your wrist truly ends to get your full arm length).

  • - If you are getting an extra zipper please mark where you would like it to be placed. Please also remember that positions might need to be changed a bit (this mostly applies to digisuits depending on padding placement and such) **Not all Digi suits can accommodate extra zippers for project specific reasons, when in doubt ask! This should be discussed in the quoting stage!*

  • - Please write the name of your character on the DTD for easy identification!

  • - Please tape back up your DTD after cutting yourself out of it

  • - Please layer your DTD at least 3 times (you shouldn’t need more than 4 layers) to ensure it doesn’t burst when stuffed.
